I work intuitively. I do not necessarily have an idea of what each painting will look like at the end. I let my materials speak to me as I follow their direction.

I select initial colors of paint and have ideas of pattern, but I change, add and subtract in the midst of creating. Color is a force for my work. I am especially drawn to clear crisp color.

I like to work with different pieces and shapes and put them together till the idea develops and takes hold. I find what I like and follow its lead.

I let the muse speak to me--I do not speak to the muse!
